“This service is one of the objectives of the group to help the barangay especially those parents who cannot afford to have their sons circumcised in hospitals and other private clinics,” Kiwanis president Edwin Barriga said.
Circumcision in the present time cost as low as P250 to as high as P1, 000. Silvosa, a Kiwanian, said around 76 young males were circumcised where majority were from Salvacion and a number of them were from nearby Barangay Sto.Niño.
Another Kiwanis community service is a feeding program was it aims to help malnourished children in the community.
Feeding Programs were conducted three months ago at Barangay JP Laurel, New Visayas and Southern Davao.
The medical group in the recent Oplan tuli was led by Dr. Philip Noland Dimaala and City Health Officer Dra. Ememlds T. Bendijo along with the 16midwive and 5 nurses.
