PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte -- September 5, 2016, three days after the deadly attack in Davao City Roxas night market, Mayor Engr. James G. Gamao reminded its constituents to keep calm but be extra watchful to avoid possible threats in the city.
Mayor Gamao said after the monthly Eucharistic mass on Monday, “Our day-to-day activities will continue, but I encourage everyone to be calm and extra careful, and report any suspicious activities and persons to authorities.”
The Office of the City Mayor also expressed through Facebook its sympathy to Davao City and bereaved families of the incident, and guaranteed its utmost support to President Rodrigo Duterte in upholding peace and order in the country.
Meanwhile, first councilor Gregorio Dujali III would like to solicit everyone’s support from the government, private sector, down to the barangay level to be fully aware of activities in their respective communities.
During his privilege speech in the 7th City Council’s regular session, Dujali said, “Our police and army cannot do it alone, let us help them and do it as a team for our children and our community.”
Police authorities in the city have further tightened its security measures following the declaration of State of Lawless Violence nationwide thus, encouraging the public to be cooperative in undergoing security measures.
Panaboans are encouraged to report any unattended items or suspicious activities, no matter how insignificant it may seem to PNP Panabo hotline number 0907-3122-991 immediately.
